Our rights by blood to blood

It may appear to the average citizen of these United States that equality is on the rise, that many issues of inequality prevalent in the past are fading in this modern day and age. This idea is a fallacy perpetrated by the media, a biased media that is controlled by the banks.

My people are still treated as if they are second-class citizens, bottom-feeders forced into the shadows cast by the bright shining star known as civilization. However, there is one night a year where we are free to be ourselves in public. Halloween; this night is our night.

The hot-blooded members of congress fear us, they scramble at our mention, hiding in their extravagant homes without extending proper invitation to their constituents. This fear is so entrenched within their beating hearts that they give us our one night a year in hopes of satisfying us. I stand before you as a proud representative of my noble kin, a people of proud heritage whose numbers may be small, but our power is great and I say that one night is not enough.

We do not ask for much, despite our roots to Eastern European nobility we are not the fat cat aristocrats who rule over your people with the one true king of your country, money. We have no interest in material wealth, we seek only the safety of a cold home and the freedom to feed at our leisure.

Yet to this day the people of not just America, but the world itself horde that which we desire most. They fill our homes with their departed friends and family, leaving us displaced. The majority of the time, they jealously protect that on which my kin must sup to sustain ourselves. When was the last time you had a catastrophic injury? Do you truly need all of your blood, or will you hold it as precious as the corrupt banks?

Some of us don’t even have an interest in the physical aspects of your blood, we merely seek a bit of your life essence. What good are a few extra years going to do for you? With the rise of conditions like cancer and Alzheimer’s is it really worth living through such a horrible experience just to eke out a few extra years of suffering?

People freely throw away years of their lives to activities like smoking and hard drugs, why not give those years to the proud people who truly need them? Why must you let us suffer and starve on the outskirts of your society?

Think about those whom you hurt when you force your worldview onto others. Think of the suffering that you cause when you refuse our request of a quick nibble. Think of how boring this world would be without its proud and strong undead denizens.

I hope that you will be a little more sensitive to me and my ilk in the future, but for now I must depart. I met a lovely young waitress and we’re going out for a bite and a drink.
