BootleggingThumbs Down
It ain’t good. The Bay Area rappers are the people who suffer the most. They put all their work into making one solid CD or mixtape, and people take the music off the internet for free. The CDs aren’t to expensive to begin with, and if the artist is someone that you really like, why wouldn’t you support them?

Ghost HuntersThumbs Up
Spooky sounds. Disembodied voices. Sudden cold spots. Human figured shadows. Leave it to TAPS, The Atlantic Paranormal Society. This real-life team of paranormal researchers investigates various hauntings throughout the country. If you haven’t seen this one-hour weekly reality show, I highly recommend it. It’s awesome =)

Prop. 8Thumbs Way Down
The passage of Prop. 8 in this state disgusts me to no end. It makes me ashamed, not only of this country but the very state I live in, to thin that we would authorize discrimination like this. Prop. 2 passed; great, so animal rights in this state are ok to the majority, but not gay marriage? The very fact that this issue was proposed as an amendment astounds me. Oh well good thing we’ll have another vote on it by the next election.

VinylThumbs Up
We live in the age of MP3’s; vinyl records have become a thing of the past. But this is a good thing, because those with a vinyl collection have something more valuable than an iPod. I wish more young people could appreciate vinyl LP’s these days, but hey, that just means there are more laying around for me.

Prop 4 FailingTwo Thumbs Down
Okay, what’s up with Prop 4 failing? You have to be 18 to smoke and vote and join the army, you have to 21 to drive. But you can go off and get an abortion at any ol’ age you please. In a country where you need to call the parents to give a damn aspirin, you should also need some damn consent to get an abortion and pop a baby out. -Shannon Elliot
Post-Halloween CandyThumbs Up
It just overjoys me seeing candy so cheap. Being in a sugar coma and rotting my teeth until Christmas never felt so good. Now it’s time to wait for the post-Easter season. Peeps will lose many little marshmallowy lives.

President ObamaThumbs Up
I can’t remember being happy about a presidential election before now. Not only does Obama’s election show that America is still the land of opportunity, but it gives us hope for things like seeing the end of the “War on Terror”, and maybe even stopping the downward spiral of our economy. Here’s two big thumbs up to Obama: Yes we can!

Prop 4 FailingThumbs Up
I can see both sides of this issue, but I don’t think that it’s right to force young women with an unwanted pregnancy to notify their potentially unsupportive parents before they are able to do anything about it. It’s fine for supportive families with good communication, but there are too many families out there where they might disown the daughter or force their beliefs on her, making her have the child even though she doesn’t want it and probably couldn’t support it. I see the issue as being more than just the matter of age than some people make it out to be. I don’t think abortion is a good thing, but I think it’s better than losing your family, ruining your life, or – god forbid – a coat hanger.
