In addition to these The Skyline View won General Excellence in Online Journalism, bringing the total to 8 awards
“We have several newer people on staff that won awards and i’m really proud of that” Nancy Kaplan-Biegel, Journalism Instructor said. “The fact that the staff won online general excellence again tells me that they are staying committed to convergence journalism, and that’s important because journalism and newspapers are really in flux right now.”
“It’s rad” said John Harrison of his 4 awards. “JACC conferences have always been an enriching experience for me. I feel that I’ve grown these few years, and all of my experiences have contributed to my winning awards this year.”
The College of San Mateo San Matean, also did well taking home seven awards including, first place in opinion writing, by Christine Karavas, and Online General Excellence.
