The Skyline women’s soccer team headed down to San Jose to play Evergreen Valley College on Tuesday, Oct. 7. Skyline proved they’re able to dominant, even when they aren’t on their own turf. Skyline beat Evergreen Valley 4-0.
Jennifer Alvarez, Amanda Downing, Melissa Drosi, and Isharene Malave each scored a goal each. Amanda Downing and Melissa Drosi also had an assist each. Faye Zink, goalkeeper, played all 90 minutes and made two saves. It was a clean game, no yellow or red cards were given. As of Thursday, Oct. 9, their overall record is 5-4-1 and their conference record is 4-1.
The Skyline College men’s soccer team also had an away game on Tuesday, Oct. 7. They traveled down to Redwood City where they faced the Cañada Colts. They weren’t unsuccessful, but when you have the mindset of winning, a tie just doesn’t feel good enough. Skyline tied Cañada 1-1.
