BASEBALLThe Skyline Baseball team has not been successful in their last three games.
The Trojans lost against De Anza College, 7-2, on Tues. March 25. They also fell short against Sacramento City College in a double-header on March 18 and March 20.
Sergio Contreras, starting pitcher of the De Anza game, went four innings. According to Contreras, he gave up 1 earned run and 1 unearned run.
Jason Dias came in the fourth inning and gave up four runs. Danny March came in to close the game. Overall Skyline had 3 hits and 2 errors.
Skyline couldn’t get it together to get a win. Hopefully Skyline can pull out a win in their next few games.
BADMINTONThe Skyline badminton team got their first win of the season against San Francisco City College on Mar. 25.
Even though Skyline wasn’t at home, they managed to get the win at San Francisco City College. The final score of the game was Skyline 16, San Francisco City College 5.
Bonnie Chan started off the game great for Skyline by beating two of the San Francisco City players. Jenny Chev and Casey Spinetti kept the momentum going by winning both of their single games.
The women’s singles went very well on Skyline’s side, but so did the women’s doubles giving Skyline the upper hand and the win. Let’s hope that the badminton team’s next game against Fresno City College will go as well as the game against San Francisco City College.
