Barack Obama has all of the qualities to be the ideal leader that this country needs. In leading the election thus far, Obama shows a promising future and presidency with promising goals and plans that will ensure a safer and much more secure society for citizens and neighborhoods around the country.
One of the best qualities of Obama’s promises during his presidency is that he has a much stronger focus on family and unity in societies and neighborhoods across the United States.
Many of his plans benefit families that suffer from not making a strong enough income to support themselves. For example, many families are unable to afford to pay for their children to go to pre school. Obama’s No Child Left Behind plan allows the government to pay for children before the age of five to attend Pre School if their parents aren’t able to afford it.
Also to ensure that the neighborhoods and families stay together Obama is going to be enforcing a new plan on the policies for foreclosure, which affects thousands of families around the country, leaving them homeless.
Along with dealing with the concerns of families in the United States, the war has been a huge issue for the past several years. Obama realizes that the war has been heading in the wrong direction, and he has promised to start removing troops from Iraq as soon as his term begins. He also recognizes that the billions of dollars that are being wasted in this absolutely pointless war can be used for more important issues, such as environmental awareness plans, healthcare, ending poverty, and education.
One of Obama’s most important goals for his presidency is that he wants to eliminate carbon emissions by 80 percent by the year 2050. His environmental awareness is very important. He has the power to force the country to do as much as possible to put an end to global warming. One of the plans is that he is going to change a large sum of money for every gallon of carbon that is emitted by companies who release carbon into the atmosphere.
He also focuses on racial issues across America. In a speech he made on March 18 in Philadelphia, he said that it is important to always remember the history of the Civil Rights movement, and that racism is still an issue that needs to be dealt with and stopped. He stated that he wants to make sure that the fact that he is biracial does not become the reason why people do or do not vote for him, but that they should vote for him based on his objectives and plans to change the nation in a positive way that will benefit everyone.
Barak Obama’s strong family values, political experience, awareness of the environment, and economic concerns make him the best candidate for the 2009 term. His goals for our country would benefit us the most, and with him ahead of Clinton this far into the election, I’m sure he will be elected.
