Are you bored right now? Well often I get that way too, so what I do is simply fire up the computer and go to http://www.addictinggames.com/, as I have for the past three or so years. If you have some time to kill but you have to stay around school, then you can just go there to check out some of the hundreds of games. However, not all of them are good, so that is why this article is reviewing two of them.
http://www.addictinggames.com/brainz.htmlBrainz is simply your standard zombie-shooter game in which you, as the protagonist in a world with few humans, attempt to stave off a hoard of zombies which always give you money when they die. This money can then be spent on bullets and awesome weapons allowing you to mow down more zombies.
This game starts out rather easily, with most of the zombies being killed by simply circling around them and repeatedly firing bullets into the mass of undead flesh. This tactic is simple and works like a charm for the first two levels, but on the third level zombies that move faster than you are thrown into the mix.
This is where the other guns come in. If you buy the right weapons you will float through the first three levels with relative ease. However, the wrong weapons can make the game almost impossible, and so you must choose wisely.
By the third level it seems you will only have around $1,200 but if you choose the laser gun you will manage to make it through the next couple levels while circling the zombies and frying the troublesome fast moving ones.
Naturally this continues throughout the game with the player managing to survive another couple of levels in order to manage to scrabble together enough cash in order to buy the next uber weapon.
The game controls are ok. They get the job done with a minimum of frustration but there isn’t very much to this game that can get too complicated. Run around the zombies, shoot the zombies, don’t get too close, and save money.
The music to this game is really kind of annoying when you listen to it, but you shouldn’t be doing much of that because you will be too busy circling the undead.
This game is really average. It would have been okay maybe a year ago; back when the zombie flash-game rush got started, but it just doesn’t do anything new. If you’ve never played a zombie-killing flash-game then you should try this just to check it out, but if you have played this type of game then you won’t find anything new here.
http://www.addictinggames.com/twothree.htmlTwo Three, is a mouse controlled turret, a gun that swivels side to side, game with a very interesting concept. Numbers fly at you and you have to reduce them to exactly zero using the numbers “two” and “three”. For every number you miss your turret piles up on a bunch of “twos” and “threes” until it reaches the top causing you to lose.
This game is cool because it really makes you think mathematically when you’re shooting. You can’t just fire off numbers indiscriminately because that will frequently cause you to add incorrectly. You must think of the number you are trying to shoot and then reduce it to “twos” and “threes” in your head. The better you do at this game the, smarter you feel.
The controls for this one are fine. How hard could it be to screw up? The music is really jazzy. If you have even 15 minutes to kill I definitely recommend trying out this game, which makes math fun.
