Skyline College has gone through many upgrades and renovations on their overall infrastructure. Many of those improvements have a direct impact on the comfort and success for all of the students here at Skyline College. The college has many professionals to ensure that adequate assistance is available for all students’ needs. Skyline students have a much better and well-equipped college today, compared to the first generation of graduates in the 70’s.
There are many talented students here at Skyline College, who will go off to the real world and make a difference in their lives and the lives of others, thanks to the education acquired in this well accredited educational institution. Others like myself who are already in the real world who have a desire to improve their work situation, are looking to get a promotion to compliment our skills.
I am a returning adult student in search of a brighter future. I envision myself as a more prepared and ready individual. I like taking advantage of Skyline’s state of the art facilities to get myself educated to confront new challenges that life at work has to offer.
I encourage all of you young students to continue to stay focused on your education 100 percent. It will make a big difference in your future. So stay on track and try to avoid unnecessary wastes of time and energy. If you already have decided on your career path there are many activities that will help you land a good job and compliment your resume.
However, those of us already in the workforce who are having difficulty attending some classes on a regular basis should consider the available On-line courses that are offered between Skyline, College of San Mateo, and Canada College. They offer a great flexibility and the quality and resources are amazing.
All students here at Skyline should check out what is available to us. There are important locations around the college designated for enjoyment and recreation at your spare time to relieve some stress and relax, or stay in shape.
Learning about historical locations of Skyline can be entertaining and fun. For example: Do you know where the first tree planted on the campus is? Throughout the years the tree has seen many students come and go. The tree was planted on February 20, 1970, and is located between buildings one and six. If you find it walk by it and make a wish for a bright and successful future ahead of you!
