As a “great big boom” rocks the house, Cindy Reid, 48 of San Bruno, rushes into the living room to make sure her five grandchildren are ok.”I can’t tell you how many (car)-wrecks we’ve seen on this road,” Reid said. “They hit a little black girl on a bicycle 12 to 13 years ago. And just by the grace of God she got up and walked away.”On Jan. 30 2008, at 10 a.m., a car skidded across Sharp Park Road, careened through the intersection, went through a 9 foot gap, and finally smashed through the side fence of Cindy Reid’s house. The car was driven by an unnamed 19 year old Skyline Student on his way to class.”He seemed sober when he got out,” Reid said. “That road is slippery when wet”.Their mailbox was sheared off with letters scattered everywhere. The rest of the mailbox was implanted into the side of the house. With 5 grandchildren in the house “we’re just glad he went through the fence and not the living room” Reid said. The driver looked shaken but was unharmed.
