The composition of a team isn’t limited only to the players on the roster or the coaching staff. Behind the scenes there are many other players pivotal to a team’s success. In association with classes students average nearly eight hours per week working outside the class room to get a hands on feel for the profession and its players alike. Working with the athletes on a consistent basis gives students chances to not only build a relationship between trainer and player. But also allows for the chance to see the progression and rehabilitation of players over time.
Though the majority of athletes flooding into the facilities are dependant on the semester, since each sport works on their on tentative schedules, for the most part the roles each staffer and student play in the overall player development is key to the progression of that athlete.
