I just survived eight days straight of working at San Francisco International Airport. I go to school and work on this college paper. Can you imagine the stress I’m under? I’m sure a lot of you can. Stress is a part of our lives, it either doesn’t bother us or it becomes a severe headache that won’t go away.
We live in a world today where we need to work to survive. We need to go to school to find a good job then work our butts off to keep that job. The money you make isn’t enough to pay the bills so you find another job or work more. It becomes a never ending cycle of stress. All that stress may not bother you now, but later on in life it can lead to serious heart problems and other health problems.
I know we all deal with stress so I’m going to take the time and tell you some ways to lessen your stress load.
Breathe
When you feel stressed just stop. Calm down and take a deep breath. Try not to hyperventilate by taking in too many breaths, but breathe in slowly and calmly. Your breath is life; it is what brings life to your body. You will be surprised on how taking a deep breath can calm your nerves and relax you.
Share your Voice
Communication is very important. Never bottle up your problems; you’ll just feel a lot worse. Share your feelings with someone else. Talking about your problems, sharing with someone else what makes you so stressed will take the wait off your shoulders. Don’t underestimate the power of voicing your problems to someone who will listen. It’s okay to depend on someone every now and then.
Cut down on Red Bull
Shut off the caffeine. It just makes your nerves even more jumpy. Try not to drink soda, coffee, Red Bull, a Rockstar or any highly caffeinated drink. You might feel sleepy, but you’ll be less tense and jumpy.
Organize
Get your shit together. The reason most people are stressed is because they are very disorganized. It can be really frustrating when you don’t remember appointments or important dates. When you realize you forgot to get something you needed for school, it can become a pain. To solve this, get some kind of planner. Buy an organizer that can store almost anything you want to write down. If you can keep better track of the things you need to do, you won’t forget. When you don’t forget, you don’t get frustrated. Thus less stress on you.
Sex
Yes, sex is a stress reliever. Sex sends signals throughout your body relaxing it with utter pleasure. There is also masturbation, it gives off the same signals through your body but it’s a bit different. If sex is supposed to feel good, then how do you think you’ll feel after? If it’s good sex, it’s relaxing. If it’s bad, well, then you might feel more stressed. So try to have good sex when possible.
