I have been a long time reader of this particular college newspaper and I have some views that I would like to extend and share with you and your staff. I have read the last two issues and this new one has struck a chord in me that I am not liking. I am not sure how familiar you and your staff is with your own campus but I am well aware of the construction that is going on around there and I must say that it disappoints me that there is little to no coverage of what is happening. In case you and your fellow reporters are falling a little behind, let me catch you up. There is ANOTHER bond measure in the works for the SMCCCD and it’s no small amount of money either. They are now asking for $468 million. I felt that this was something maybe yours news editor Carina or her assistant Joe could look into. This is a very big deal and it needs to be addressed. Although issues such as “Lowest crime rate at Skyline” are somewhat of a big deal, these issues HAVE been covered, if you take a look in your archives you’d know that. Those kinds of issues do not belong on the front page above the fold. There are other issues that need to be addressed, I will not mention them because this is now up to you and your staff to go out and make this a NEWSpaper. It is your responsibility Ms. Elliott as the Editor in Chief to get your staff reved up and reporting on IMPORTANT HARD issues. Please make sure that this starts to happen. Thank you.
