You have all the latest summer fashions, with your earthy skirts and funky tanks you know you’re hip. But sadly, summer is over, and now the cold, wet season begins. From warm crisp sunny days we are back to the cold rainy weather of the season. So from being hot in your summer outfits you’re freezing in them. It’s time to get a wardrobe change, but really cheap. After all, you probably maxed out your credit card with school tuition and books.
First things first, pack up all your summer clothes and bring out the old winter clothes. No need to spend cash there. You already have your winter clothes ready to wear. You have the denim jeans and the warm coats and fluffy sweaters. Now if you think your clothes are out of style, there are ways you could get cheap winter garments.
The old hand me downs:So your sister has the wickedly hot jacket you’ve been eyeing all year and she’s not even wearing it? Ask if you could borrow it. If you have any other family out there with old clothes you find hip, ask for it. Family and friends would be happy to help.
The significant other:If you have a significant other by your side, ask them to buy a coat for you. Just be sweet and ask for it nicely, and they should be able to help you in some way. Or you could just hold something from them. But the best way to get your significant other to buy you something is to promise you’ll repay the favor with another favor.
The good old thrift store:Going to Salvation Army or the Goodwill store for clothes is a very good idea. Even if the chances of you getting the latest fashions are slim, there are advantages. Not only can you buy really cheap clothes, you can find great vintage clothing. Vintage coats are just as great as new ones.
The reasonably priced department store:If you got a little bit of extra cash, going to a department store for winter clothes is a good choice. You can find all the new styles at affordable prices. You can find one style in a so many colors! If you still have cash on hand, the department stores are also filled with new winter clothes to fit nicely with your new coat.
The dreaded designer store:If you have a lot of money right now, you could go to a name brand store and buy a coat for yourself at unbelievable expensive prices. You’ll find really up to date fashions at this type of store; the only draw back is the price tag may knock you out.
