The Skyline Men’s Wrestling Team tossed around Chabot College in a 30-27 win on Wednesday Oct. 22.Second year wrestler, Bobby Stack, led the way for Skyline with a dominating 18-4 stomping of his 165 lb. Chabot counterpart.In the 197 lb. weight class, first year wrestler Matt Schug pulled out a 13-8 win to help Skyline’s cause.Diwan Williams, a first year wrestler in the 125 lb. weight class, also contributed with a 10-3 victory.Both 133 lb. Virgil Lockett and 149 lb. Scott Beale were not able to wrestle due to lack of competition, but were victors by forfeit. With this victory, the Skyline Wrestling Team continues their destruction of league opponents, not to mention their outstanding tournament play.As a result of their performance in the Sacramento City Invitational, four Skyline wrestlers received rankings within the top four in the state. Congratulations to Bobby Stack, Diwan Williams, Eric Helmstreet, and Nick Theotikos. The next match for Skyline is the North-South Dual Meet Championship in Fresno on Sat., Nov. 1.
