The Pacifica Police Department’s monthlong crackdown on cell phone use while driving will be drawing to a close at the end of April.
The effort is part of a statewide enforcement of a zero-tolerance policy regarding driving while using cell phones. The CHP and over 225 local agencies are participating.
The minimum fine for cell phone use while driving is currently $159, with additional tickets costing a minimum of $279.
