The Raider nation was treated with a spectacle of a game Sunday, where some of the most unlikely events transpired in Oakland. After JeMarcus Russell and Darren McFadden led the silver and black to a strong 3rd quarter featuring their first touchdown in over 100+ plays, the Raider defense broke down as usual and let Favre drive down the field in the 4th. Jay Feely kicked in a 52-yarder that hit the upright, but had a second chance after Coach Tom Cable called a time-out. He hit on the second, sending the game into overtime. There, a fake punt set up Sebestian Janikowski for the winning, team-record 57-yard field goal.

Across the Bay, the sh*t has officially hit the fan with the 49ers. After rumors rampantly increased after a dramatic loss to the Giants, Mike Nolan was officially fired by the York family on Monday. Hall-of-Famer Linebacker Coach Mike Singletary will take control until the end of the season. Nolan would likely still have his job if they had not blown a lead over the defending NFL champions.
