Thumbs Up:My Xbox 360
It’s almost the one year anniversary for me and my 360 and not once has it gotten the “red ring of death”. I don’t know if I’m just lucky or Bessie (the name of my console) is just really strong but I seem to be the only guy in my group of friends who hasn’t gotten the dreaded malfunction. So yeah this is just another reason for me to love Microsoft even more!

———————————————Thumbs Down: Phone fatalities
Who takes joy in seeing their beloved cell phone blink its last text message alert before taking its final dip into a puddle of water?
I dropped my blackberry into a cup of water while reaching for a book this past weekend and had to spend $400 on a new phone the next day. *Cries*

———————————————Thumbs Down:Crazy work schedules
It all looks great on paper, but when it comes down to actually doing it? More likely than not, you’ll find that you wished you had thought to schedule a weekend for yourself sometime in the last couple months. Money is nice, but sleep is nice too.

Thumbs Up: 2012
Thumbs up on the movie “2012.” The special-effects were phenomenal (especially during the first half), the characters were pretty well-developed and there was a larger story than what I was expecting. Despite being a 2.5 hours long, I never lost interest. This is one movie I wouldn’t want to pass up seeing on the big screen.

Thumbs Down:Undercooked Noodles
Eating noodles that haven’t been prepared properly is a disappointing experience. After slaving over a coffee pot, squeezing the packaged noodles into a cup, and waiting at least twenty minutes, the results were ultimately disastrous.
