Thumbs Up: Jack Burton
When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if yapaid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol’ Jack Burton always says at a time like that: “Have ya paid your dues, Jack?” “Yessir, the check is in the mail.”

Thumbs Down: Financial Holds & Parking Permits
A couple years back, a student at Skyline with an overdue balance for tuition could continue to pursue his or her classes while only receiving a bill in the mail. Now, the rules have seemed to tighten amid a shaky economic situation, where a financial hold not only prohibits registration, but from receiving an already paid parking permit as well. TIP: Pay the bill, avoid the daily hassle digging for quarters.

Thumbs Up: Nintendo DS Lite game selection
Two big thumbs up. The games on the system are very innovative and unique, such as the Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Professor Layton and the Curious Village. In addition, some games, such as Pokémon Diamond/Pearl, offer so much to do that I am still playing it two years after its release and I still have not done everything there is to do.

Thumbs Up: Girl Scout cookies
Yes, they may be damn expensive but they are freaking amazing. Tagalongs and Samoas are probably the best, hands down. It’s too bad they’re only sold once a year. When I do buy them, I buy them in bulk.
