Super Bowl XIII is this Sunday and it’s the Arizona Cardinals taking on the Pittsburgher Steelers. Everyone has their picks on who’s going to win. Now before you actually take your pick, you have to go back and look at history. Both teams have new rookie coaches this upcoming season. The Steelers have Coach Mike Tomlin who has been coaching for 8 years now. His last team before joining the Steelers was the Minnesota Vikings’ where he was the defensive coordinator. The Arizona Cardinals have Coach Ken Whisenhunt who has 10 years of experience as an NFL assistant coach. So this game is now a battle of two rookie coaches. Now that’s an even better reason why you would want to watch this year’s super bowl. The Steelers have been to six different super bowls and won 5 of their most recent, while the Arizona Cardinals will be going to their very 1st super bowl in history. The Pittsburgh Steelers have 24 players on their roster that have played in at least 1 super bowl, including Ben Roethlisberger, who not only went 9 for 21, 123 yards and 2 interceptions but was ranked 51 in QB passer ratings in super bowl history with a 22.52 rating. While the Arizona Cardinals have only 9 players who have played in at least 1 super bowl, including QB Kurt Warner who took the St. Louis Rams to Super Bowl XXIV and not only won Super Bowl MVP, but also the League MVP that year.So now that you know a little bit more information on this year’s super bowl, the real question is “Who is going to win the super bowl?” My pick, although I am a die hard NFC fan, I’m going for my boys from the AFC; the Pittsburgh Steelers. Super bowl XIII, the Steelers will win 27-24.

I think that Arizona will beat Pittsburgh, 27-24. Even though Pittsburgh is the favorite and has the number one defense in the league, once Arizona got into the playoffs, they just became hot. And last week, against Philadelphia, the Cardinals got off to a huge lead early, and Phili has the number three defense in the league. I just think that Warner and Fitzgerald have a great connection right now and both are on top of their game, and that is going to be the difference.
