Artist: Jefferson StarshipSong: Sara [5:30, 1986]Sounds Like: A great title for a song
The song ‘Sara’ by Starship is a great song that is easy on the ears. Because it was made in 1986, it has a retro sound that was so popular then. The song is soft, yet very upbeat, which makes it fun to listen to. Besides the musical styling’s, the song’s greatest quality is that it centers on a girl named Sara. If for nothing else, the song is wonderful just because they decided to name the girl Sara; but then again, can you blame me?

Artist: System of a DownSong: Aerials [3:54, 2002] Sounds Like: A sad song about everything
I’ve always been a fan of System of a Down. They’re classified as a rock band, and the instruments certainly fit the profile, but their songs often defy genres. Their quirky lyrics, inventive music and catchy beats make almost all their songs worth listening to – an accomplishment that few other bands can hope to claim. But no song they make will captivate me quite like “Aerials.” The lyrics aren’t as light and quirky as some of their other songs, but they’re still brilliant and captivating. Despite the energetic music, the song manages to sound sad, and the contrast only makes it that much better. I’m a fan of everything System of a Down does, but this song stands above the rest as a truly excellent piece of music.

Artist: M.G.M.T.Song: “Kids” [3:50, 2008]Sounds Like: Magical and Airy Music
M.G.M.T. makes good music, plain and simple. This is a very light song. Not only is it easy listening but it’s relaxing as well. It’s got a floaty feel and leaves you energized. M.G.M.T. also puts on a great live show. If you have the opportunity to see them you shouldn’t pass it up.

Artist: The KillersSong: Human [4:10, 2008]Sounds Like: A dance-rock jive to exercise those stumbly feet
This is definitely a different kind of Killers’ sound, meaning it’s not sung in Brandon Flowers’ usual tone of voice [Well, at least not on a certain word]. It sounds like he’s saying “Are we human, or are we dancer.” Which leads to saying… Uhh, whaaat?! But he’s really saying “Are we human, or are we denser.” Why confuse us, Mister? Although the word is “denser”, some should just say “dancer” to make it fun. Other than that, it’s an amazingly awesome tune to dance to and you’d better expect it to be played on the radio airwaves.
