Spring break is right around the corner.
For many it will be a time for parties down in Mexico drinking to their hearts content. Others will use this time to spend holy week with their families or just to enjoy time out of school to relax on the couch and watch the tube.
Whatever your plans are, one must remember the common sense behind which choice you make this spring break, whether it be you going to the Bahamas, with your family or just staying at home. So here are some preparation tips:
I’m going to Miami and I’m going to party!
So you want to fly this year don’t you? I hope you planned a couple of months or weeks in advance. Why? Let’s see, it is spring break. Lots of fun hungry college students are running about trying to get away from home and have a blast somewhere. Most of the places they want to go to require an airplane. So what happens when you don’t plan ahead? You might not be able to get a plane ticket, a hotel, and no fun. If you do have the tickets and hotel be sure to get there way ahead of time because lines at the airport are no joke. It could delay you 20 minutes or more.
Holy week with the family
If you are religious, some families celebrate this time in prayer to their lord. Others enjoy this little break in preparation of the Easter Bunny and its glorious chocolate crème filled eggs. No matter what you believe take this time to enjoy the company of your family. If you live far away from them, I’m sure they’ll love to see you on any holiday. School can make you life way to busy, so take this break to get away from it all and see the people you most likely love you unconditionally. Your family.
The couch and I
Don’t care about going out, and your family doesn’t really like to celebrate Easter then you and your couch can be new best friends forever! Before you relax and watch the tube all day long, just remember whether some of your teachers gave you something to do over the break, so that way if you remember too late you won’t be rushing to get it done. Then you can be a couch potato again.
So whatever you decide to do this spring break, be safe and be happy. Just not having to go to school is a weight lifted off many shoulders. This has been the Advice Nerd, if you got a question for me don’t hesitated to ask. Just send an email to [email protected] and subject it advice
