The end of the fall semester draws near, as the spring semester comes closer. This could only mean one thing: Time to register for your classes. When signing up for your classes you have to think about whether you are planning to transfer or if you want a degree. Whatever your situation is, these are some things you could do to help you decide.
Go to a counselorHere at skyline, a couple of counselors are willing to help with choosing the right classes for you. All you need to do is head over to the administration office and set up an appointment with one of the counselors. With all that done, all you have to do is show up to the appointment and your counselor will help you from there.
Make a listIf you don’t want to see a counselor, then you could probably do it yourself. Make a list of all the classes you took this semester and the previous ones. If possible, write down the grades you got for each class. Writing down the grades helps you see if you need to take the class over. If you dropped a class or were dropped from the class and if you have a grade lower than C, the maybe you should sign up for the same class.
After checking your history, now is the chance to select classes.
Check your requirementsNo matter the situation you will have a list of classes you need to take in order to graduate. Check the list to see what classes you’ve already taken and what you need to take. Alongside the required classes is the required amount of units. Make sure the number of units fits the requirements.
TimingAfter all is said and done, check the times of the classes you want to sign up for. You want your classes to fit a schedule you can comply with. You also want to make sure the classes you need aren’t at the same time; after all you can’t be in two places at once.
Lastly, all you need to do after selecting your classes is to actually register for them.
