Artist: American IdolAlbum: American Idol Album Highlights : “He Aint Heavy He’s My Brother” and “Everything is Beautiful”
For seasons, you’ve watched countless Americans duel it out to be the one and only American Idol. It is now season four, and the latest final 12 have released an album just like the batches before them. Sadly, this group’s album only has 3 songs on their CD. Even though you might be hesitant to buy the album, remember, it’s for a good cause. For every purchase of the American Idol season four CD, they will donate 50 cents to the American Red Cross. So for only $2.99 you can listen to your favorite singers belt it out in 3 songs.
You can hear the soulful voices of the final 12 in the first track of the CD “When You Tell Me That You Love Me.” The original version was sung by Diana Ross, but the Idols make the new version just as romantic. They do this with the gentle mixture of each voice pulling together to reach the highest feeling of love and complete bliss. They all sing it wonderfully, making the track a great addition to the album. The second track is “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother”, which was sung before by both Cher and The Hollies. The Idols have also brought this oldie classic track back into the modern times. It’s such a good mix of vocals with the girls and the guys, they could even be one big group instead of solo artists. The third and final track is “Everything is Beautiful” which was written and sung by Ray Stevens. The classic song of worship to God was brought back into the limelight with the tremendous loving vocals given by the idols. The new final 12 has such a great diversity with they way they sing; when they come together it’s just an amazing experience.
The question that comes to your mind now is whether to buy it or not. It’s definitely worth the money to spend on, with three great classic songs sung by 12 of today’s most loved singers, why not? Besides, it’s for a good cause, as you’re donating money to the American Red Cross. It’s nothing but great news for everyone. You don’t have to be a fanatic of the American Idol craze to buy the CD; you just have to enjoy listening to music. I’m pretty sure everyone does, so take the plunge into the pool of the Idol trend. You’ll never want to look back.
