I come from a culinary background and have been on the search for great food. While walking my dogs on the beach in Pacifica a local told me about Barolo’s Italian restaurant. When walking up to the place it is very quaint and inviting. We where greeted promptly by the host and seated. The ambiance was romantic and warm great place for a date with someone special. Our sever was friendly and knowledgeable with the menu. We started with the Wild Horse Pinot Noir fallowed by the Prosciutto Pizza. The pairing was perfect the sweetness of the port fig jam and the saltiness’s of the prosciutto went very well with the wine. Our second course we had the “Chef’s three course menu” We started with minestrone soup. it was simple but hardy great with Parmesan cheese. Second course was a braised lamb shank cooked just right very tender and great favor. sides of brussel sprouts with bacon perfectly cooked and polenta with lemon sauce. We ended this well prepared meal with coffee and the chocolate cake with hazelnuts, yummy. I was very pleased with this meal and over all experience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
