Skyline support is coming out to the Relay for Life event at Cappuchino High School on April 25. Students, faculty and alumni will be participating to raise awareness and support for cancer.

Skyline College’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Beta Theta Omicron, is joining efforts to raise money for the American Cancer Society by pledging to walk.

The team name “Skyline Striders” includes any students who wish to participate at the event. According to the group’s events page, they’ve raised $1,275 at this time for their walk.

The group is urging any student who wants to donate their time or to make a monetary donation to do so.

“Most of us have been touched by cancer in some way,” the group states on their website. “And we want to make a difference by raising money and walking in our local American Cancer Society Relay For Life event.”
