Let's face it. Financially speaking, it is becoming increasingly more difficult to be a college student. Due to California's budget cuts, Skyline's tuition has already risen dramatically over the past few semesters. Now with the recent proposals from some of our state's officials to amend Proposition 98, we might expect tuition rates to climb even more.
Brian McKay posted a question to his readers, asking how much one would pay for democracy. I think that question would better be put as, "How much are you willing to pay for freedom?" To quote Erik H. Erikson, it is so typical for one who is "so rich in his opportunities for free expression that he often no longer knows what it is he is free from.
People believe that eating is a good thing. However, not that many people actually care about what they put in their mouth, for example, those who frequent fast food entrepreneurs or vending machine maniacs. In brief, people know that eating healthy is important, but when people are not aware of what is nutritionally good for them, and when they eat those foods, a health problem arises.
I've been told that video did in fact kill the radio star. Well, if that's the case, then it would explain why I couldn't name any radio stars. Perhaps the situation isn't quite that devious, however, as I never saw the headline about video being arrested for first-degree murder, and he'll probably never even be prosecuted for attempted murder or aggravated assault either.
