Greetings! My name is John Harrison, Online Editor of The Skyline View, and I'm here to help! Valentine's Day is here, bringing promises of new love. I know that there are more than a few of you out there who have a special someone (or someones) you want to express your feelings to, but just don't know how. Here are a few of my recommendations on how to snag yourself a Valentine:

Write a letter
If you're too nervous to do the dirty deed yourself, try writing a letter detailing your love for your special lady/lad. Casually hand the letter to your soon-to-be significant other and walk away with your most charming smile spread across your face. If all goes well, your letter won't be a cowardly cop-out, but a smooth, suave, sexy way to tell your dream lover how you feel.

Use your friends
It may seem a bit like high school drama, but telling a friend to tell a friend to tell your secret someone that you're smitten might be the best way for you to finally get those feelings out.

Make yourself known
If you're not the type to tell someone how you feel, a bit of sneaky planning could yield results. Although I don't recommend stalking people, if your love interest happens to notice you walking next to him/her in the hall or on the quad, you may not have to let him/her know how you feel at all. Making yourself known to your secret someone may reveal a chemistry you never knew was there. Perhaps your secret someone will be the one who has a crush on you.

Leave a surprise
Many times we want the people we see every day. If you happen to know what class your secret love has (remember, I don't recommend stalking) you can leave a bundle of flowers or a box of chocolate on their seat or desk. If you're feeling brave, you can leave a note or letter along with the bundle. Also, if you don't want to come off as creepy, you may want to give a name.

One last reminder
Don't be a stalker. I know I've mentioned it before, but I think it's wise to remind you all again. People don't like it when they don't know who's in love with them... it's a bit eerie. Stay out of the shadows, leave your name on your love notes and make yourself known.

If you've ever had a question that needed answering, a problem that needed solving, you can ask away by emailing your inquiry to me at skyline_view@hotmail.com. Ask me anything... I'm more than willing to do a little research to help out those in need. But be warned! Anything you send is the property of The Skyline View and may be published!
