In the music world, there are few men who can bring a song to life, both on record and stage, like Andrew W.K. His music is full of hope, a love for life, and all things about it, ranging from the darker side (how people can hurt you) to the lighter side (falling in love with a girl shaped like a peach).
With hard rock style, Andrew W.K. is sure to brighten up the darkest of days. Songs like "She Is Beautiful," "I Love NYC," "Girls Own Love," and "I Love Music," just lifts your spirits. Even as W.K. is singing about death, the happy beat, ferocious metal guitar riffs, and plunking keyboards breathe a life into the songs that you would not think possible.
Every song, no matter how fast, makes you want to get up and dance. His light-hearted album "I Get Wet" is a highly entertaining album, and is wonderful to listen to anywhere and everywhere. W.K.'s latest album, "The Wolf," may be a touch darker than "I Get Wet," but it is just as good and powerful. You can really feel Andrew party the emotion into his work.
You should really check out Andrew W.K. no matter what musical genres you like. His lyrics are thoroughly entertaining and quite catchy. Most people know him for his hit single "Party Hard," but many of his other songs are just as good.
"Get Ready To Die," a song about life as much as death, is one of my personal favorites. It is a bouncy song about seeking revenge on the people who have hurt you, complete with stellar lyrics like, "We cut without a knife/ We live in black and white." This song brings it hard musically and lyrically. It is the happiest song ever written about death.
Overall, Andrew W.K is an excellent artist who knows how to have a good time, loves life, and creates wonderful music. Check out Andrew and remember, folks, to "Party Hard."
