In my view, the most disturbing moment in "Fahrenheit 9/11" did not involve American soldiers mistreating Iraqis or politicians hiding shady business deals or distraught Middle Eastern women screaming about Allah wiping out America. The most disturbing moment centered around a disillusioned soldier as he renounced his Republican Party ideals and pledged his loyalty to the Democratic Party.

Have you been to the main theatre on Skyline's campus? If you have been there and happen to know anything about theatres, you would be amazed by the well thought out design and the abundant seating. The lights are very professional, and the backstage area is well-spaced.

Dangerous drivers Most of us would never dream of killing someone. Most of us do not carry lethal weapons on our person.  And yet, most people forget that a vehicle can become a lethal weapon.  Last night, I was again nearly killed by a student in a black van who was not only speeding on College Drive out to the Skyline campus but he didn't even slow down for the STOP sign that is at the corner of College and Sheryl drives.

The way things have evolved in this day and age in the world of media and television, it has become almost expected that we get a good dose of irrelevancy, dare I say stupidity, at least three or four times per day. The amount of idiotic advertising techniques that are being broadcast live to a sea of viewers that either don't care or don't realize what they are watching has become a constant thorn in the side of what I like to call the integrity of rational thought.

The right to vote is debatably one of the most important rights as a citizen of a democratic country, yet a significant amount of U.S. citizens chose not to exercise this right. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, only 50 percent of people ages 18 to 24 are registered voters and only 36 percent of those registered are actually going to the polls to vote.
