The women's volleyball team lost their match against Hartnell College Oct. 6, even though battling hard after a slow start and staying in the game using defense and blocking. The team lost in five games, but still showed spirit and strength in their defense.
Goalkeeper for the women's soccer team, Rocio Samayoa has already had four shutouts this season. Samayoa, a second-year Skyline College student, says her goal is to beat her record of eight shutouts last year. But, she says the team winning is more important to her than shutouts.
Skyline women's soccer team fell short in a 2-1 loss to Caņada Oct. 5 thanks to a pair of late goals by the Colts. The Trojans could not hold a 1-0 halftime lead. Sophomore Susanna Chase scored on a free kick in the 40th minute as she kicked the ball high and to the right into the corner of the net.
