Dangerfield finally gets respect

Rodney Dangerfield, the comic who lived by the mantra "I don't get no respect," died Oct. 5 due to heart surgery complications. He was 82 years old. Dangerfield started his career at the age of 15, writing jokes; at 17 he started performing at amateur nights.

"Goodies" is a strong first release for Ciara. Although she's the latest of a long string of artists popping out of the ever-so-hot South right now, more notable is that Ciara is the latest female R&B singer to come out Atlanta's LaFace Records. If you've heard of TLC and Monica then you might know what I'm getting at.
