If you have ever had a night class at Skyline, you might be well aware of the fact that parking can be a problem. Not in the same sense that it is for day parking, that being a lack of spaces at the beginning of the semester. Indeed, night parking is practically hazardous.
It has recently been brought to my attention that the new hours by arrangement system for English classes is nothing more than a shameless grope for currency. Skyline students now have to pay $26 per unit and anyone taking an English class has to do these hours by arrangement-16 hours of them.
I am writing in response to your article, "9/11: Nightmare or political gold mine?" The little anti-American rant you went on was not only ignorant but a shameful show of disrespect for those who lost their lives on that disastrous day. If the lost freedoms rant you went on is referring to the Patriot Act and you are not a criminal or a terrorist, you have not lost any freedoms.
The first thing that you need to keep in mind while you think about what I am about to complain about is this: We are students at an institution of higher education, otherwise known as a college, however in the long run this doesn't mean much. I say this because the topic of, as well as the target of, my complaints this week are about no place other than Skyline College itself.
