I'm Mentioning
The perils of parking on campus are not as bad as you think

To begin, I would like to say hello to my brothers and sisters who share in my love of senseless and jolly complaint making. And secondly, I would like to mention parking.
Now, all things considered, I believe it would be a fair statement to say that the parking situation at Skyline College has been less than optimal over the years. Sure, it is true that it will get better as the semester goes on, a fact usually associated with some of our less than serious or intellectually inclined students dropping classes while they can still get a refund.
The fact remains, however, that parking can almost be considered an Olympic sport here on campus, especially for those of us who have a hard time understanding the concept of an alarm clock.
Facts that are obvious to some I find can often be oblivious to others. So without any further leading on, I shall make clear my actual complaint that is the focus of this piece: construction. Or more accurately, the parking situation brought upon us due to said construction.
The latest in Skyline's renovation projects is no doubt going to be a great expansion for this fine institute of higher education. However, for the current situation we are dealing with, it is, in a word, annoying.
Perhaps we would not have such an issue on our hands except for the fact that, with all the efforts made by the administration here on campus, the student body cannot seem to handle the fact that walking may be a necessary evil in the fight for a higher education. To those of you who feel this way, I have but two words: stop complaining.
Now as those of you who know me normally, I wouldn't go to such great lengths as to say stop complaining, but in this situation, I think it is acceptable to make an exception for the sake of the human race.
Quite honestly, there is far more parking on campus than is needed for everyone wishing to attend to find a space in a timely manner and get to class on time. A temporary lot has been opened across the street from building 5, or perhaps that's too far to walk from also.
