2008 Woodie Awards
Numbering over 8,000 strong, on March 15 students from all across California made their voices of protest heard. They protested fee increases, further budget cuts, and most importantly, the death of an institution that would help lead them to a fulfilled life and not a dead-end job.
As we all know the March on Sacramento, held on March 15, protested the tuition increase of which our school is currently in the line of fire. Now at first hearing it seems as if there isn't much to talk about that you haven't already heard. That, of course, is incorrect.
When the Atkins diet first came to be, people marveled at how effective it was for an individual to lose weight. Many wondered as to how nobody had thought of it before, seeing as it's a relatively simple concept, and there doesn't seem too much to it. The reality of the matter however is far worse than that.
Years ago, the people living in this great land of ours decided enough was enough, so they overthrew the current government and started their own. What would possess a people to do this? For our founding fathers, an authority figure's disregard for the will of the people was enough incentive to start a revolution.
