Universities and colleges are currently accepting applications for fall 2010 but deadlines are fast-approaching. The UCs have a Nov. 30 deadline while private schools such as USF and Stanford require applications to be submitted in the next month or two. What does this mean for Skyline students? If you are a student applying to a four-year college or university and your application has not yet been submitted, now is the time to fill out forms and have your personal statements ready.

Dear Zoe, I'm 19 and I've never had a boyfriend. That might bother a lot of other girls but for some reason I don't think it's a big deal. I think some boys are cute, but that's about it. Sometimes I think it could be nice to have someone special but I don't know if I'd be a very good girlfriend right now anyway.

I work at a supermarket so it always surprises me how little people take advantage of the special deals they can offer. Be sure to check for coupons in the supermarket's weekly advertisements or on the supermarket's website before making a trip to the store.

If you are, I recommend putting together a game plan in order to make your shopping experience as pleasant as possible and also to keep yourself from impulse buying and consequently spending more than you've budgeting for.

Low on cash? In today's tough times, the phrase "every penny counts" makes more sense now then ever before. So for those who need ideas on how to save money, I've got one word for you: bartering. For those who don't know what bartering is, it's a system in which goods or services are directly exchanged for other goods or services without a common exchange unit.
