De Anza College defeated our men's soccer team 3-2 on Oct. 27. The game had just started, with people still finding their seats and getting comfortable, when the Trojans scored the first goal less than five minutes into the game. The goal was scored by forward/midfielder Dylan Crist, #12.
My opinion of a sport is anything, in general, that requires you to train your body to repeatedly and consistently perform certain skills while at the same time, provides competition. Going by this definition, a sport is different from exercise, and I would not consider walking casually as a sport.

I've always wondered exactly what constitutes a sport. Is it any physical activity? Any physical activity that involves copious amounts of sweat? Physical activities with corporate sponsors? I have thought long and hard about this issue and while I still don't have a clear answer, I've realized that the typical is-bowling-a-real-sport-or-not issue doesn't truly bother me.
