The Skyline Child Development Center (CDC) is currently undergoing the Program Improvement and Viability (PIV) process, meaning that the future of the entire CDC program is uncertain. Skyline College has been forced to make several cuts and other sacrifices due to a state-wide budget problem.
The Skyline Theater is going to be outfitted with modern technology beginning now and going through January, 2010 that will give it the capability to host full-fledged productions. The technology that the theater was originally installed with was built in 1969, and has not been upgraded since then.
Many students and clubs are not aware that there are stringent regulations regarding food sales and giveaways at any on campus event despite an internal memo that was circulated at the beginning of the semester. According to an email sent out to club advisors by Coordinator of Student Activities Amory Cariadus, concerns were brought last spring to the Student Activities Office (SAO) and Student Services Office (SSO) regarding food preparation and storage by campus groups.
